ABOUT US
Hi! We are Corrie and Keith Wagoner, the humans behind the dogs. We are passionate about the breed and strive to produce the highest quality dachshunds we can! We also love living with them and can’t think of a better career and lifestyle. For nearly twenty years dachshunds have filled our home and our lives in the best ways possible and we continue to immerse ourselves more deeply every day in the joy and love that is a dachshund!
Life At Long Mountain
Life at Long Mountain is a doggy dream. Our extensive and peaceful private property provides ample room for pups to play, hunt, run, and (eventually) rest. Acres of fields and woods, a swimming pond with a dock for diving, a covered wrap around porch for lounging on rainy days, and a cozy fireplace for wintertime snuggles are all part of the setting of a dog's life here.
Our dogs are involved in a variety of activities to keep them both physically and mentally in peak condition. From dock diving and Fast CAT to obedience classes and conformation shows, we are raising our pups with love and care, best practices are our passion.
Our gorgeous puppies are raised in our home and exposed to all aspects of our daily lives. Our breeding practices are grounded in Puppy Culture principles and are designed to maximize health and temperament - producing high quality pets, while also striving to meet the breed standard.
From running in fields, hunting moles and chasing birds, to swimming and dock diving, to cozy snoozing on the covered deck, our dogs grow up in the best possible conditions in our little slice of Appalachian paradise.
Our Story
We’ve always been dog lovers, but our dachshund addiction started many years ago with Jazz. He came from a no-kill shelter and opened our eyes to the wonderful world of this breed. You might say he started an obsession. Jazz is now 18 and lives here with 5 other geriatric rescues and our new young friends that are the future of the Long Mountain Long Dogs breeding program.
While our breeding program is at the center of our work at Long Mountain Long Dogs, our love of dogs extends far beyond our breeding activities. We can't imagine a better use of our mountainside paradise than to cover it with long dogs! Our family has grown to eleven permanent residents, including rescues and retired breeders, and our mountain side natural playground is home to them all.

Our sires are AKC registered purebred miniature dachshunds. They were chosen with the best breeding, health, and temperament in mind from reputable breeders throughout the Eastern half of the US. They were hand-raised, socialized, and trained first to be our beloved pets, and second to produce puppies.
OUR POPPAS
Nanna
Nanna was named for her nature. She has been Willow’s “Nanna” since the day they met (which was one day apart). We traveled to Indiana to get Willow who overnighted with us on our way back to Ohio to pick up Nanna and return to West Virginia. Willow was waiting in the car when we brought Nanna out and Nanna was spooning her before we ever pulled out of the driveway. She is still Willow’s “Nanna” and is a sweet cuddler who loves to run! Fun, games and cuddles are her story. It also looks like she’s going to have quite the hunting nose.

Raven
Long Mountain’s founding lady, Raven is the queen or the “BQ”, as we like to call her (beauty queen). The world is her oyster, she owns it and rules and it, and her daddy is part of it. She is on your lap before you even complete your sit down and will stay with you until you move. She also loves baths, and pampering as well as her grooming sessions from her old “Uncle” Toby. She is a sweet cuddler who loves everyone she meets.
